Our team
Behind every Van For Life mission is a close-knit team of people who have chosen to get involved. The Committee is the executive body elected by the General Assembly, responsible for governance and strategic decisions. The Bureau is the operational body, responsible for implementing projects and the day-to-day management of the association. The vast majority of members are volunteers.

Dimitri Montanini
Founder
Founder and director of two Geneva-based companies, Dimitri holds a university degree in sociology and anthropology and speaks five languages. A passionate traveler, he always favors direct encounters with different cultures. Aware of his own family's migration history, he has chosen to get involved in current humanitarian crises in order to protect people's basic rights. He does so out of a sense of civic duty, but also to perpetuate Switzerland's long humanist tradition.
Guilherme Cintra Januario
Treasurer
Based in Geneva, Guilherme works in health promotion and represents the pharmaceutical industry before international organizations. Educated in Geneva in international relations and economic history, after initial studies in Brazil, he also has a strong entrepreneurial background. These experiences have strengthened his financial management skills and fostered an exemplary standard of budgetary discipline.
Alma Montanini
Secretary
Head of operations at the IUF trade union, where she has worked for the rights of food industry workers since 2008, Alma contributes her recognized expertise in project management and administrative organization to the association. Having herself experienced forced exile from Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Balkan war, she is deeply committed to defending human rights and refugees.

On the Ground
In all countries where Van For Life operates, field coordinators and members of partner associations are responsible for ensuring that daily operations run smoothly.
Alongside them, dozens of volunteers contribute their energy, time, and skills each year. Whether organizing a convoy, loading equipment, or driving a vehicle, everyone contributes to getting aid to those who need it most. This collective commitment is our greatest asset, because these essential contributions are the driving force behind our system. Van For Life is above all a civic initiative driven by values of human solidarity!
